Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha → Welcome to Tanzania

Travel Time: 1 hour from Kilimanjaro International Airport

Accommodation: Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa – Arusha

When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our driver will meet you and take you to your hotel in Arusha. Once you settle in, one of our team members will visit you at the hotel to give a short safari briefing and answer any questions you may have regarding your upcoming safari. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and prepare for your safari adventure. Dinner and overnight at Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park → Karatu

Travel Time: Around 2.5 hours (120 km)

Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge – Karatu

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Vehicle Type: Private 4×4 Safari Jeep

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its many elephants and large baobab trees. You will enjoy a full-day game drive and see animals such as lions, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge – Karatu.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Travel Time: Around 4-5 hours (210 km)

Accommodation: Moyo Tented Camp – Central Serengeti

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After an early breakfast, you will travel to Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, you can enjoy beautiful game drives and stop for a picnic lunch. Once you enter Serengeti, you will start your first game drive and see many wild animals in their natural home. In the evening, relax and enjoy dinner at Moyo Tented Camp, located in the middle of Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti Hot Air Balloon & Game Drive

Accommodation: Moyo Tented Camp – Central Serengeti

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Wake up early around 5:00AM for an exciting hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti plains. Watch the sunrise and see animals from above, it’s an amazing experience. After landing, enjoy a delicious bush breakfast in the wild. Later, continue with morning and afternoon game drives to explore more of the park. Dinner and overnight at Moyo Tented Camp.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Travel Time: Around 3–4 hours (180 km)

Accommodation: Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge – Crater Rim

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Vehicle Type: Private 4×4 Safari Jeep

After breakfast, you will have a short morning game drive before leaving Serengeti. On the way to Ngorongoro, you will visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture and daily life. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and enjoy a nice dinner with amazing views of the crater. Overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha / Departure

Travel Time: Around 4–5 hours (190 km)

Meals: Breakfast, and Lunch

Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour)

After an early breakfast, you will go down into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to elephants, lions, rhinos, hippos, and many other animals. After your picnic lunch, you will drive back to Arusha and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your 6-day Serengeti Balloon Safari.

End of tour

Your 6-day Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari ends with wonderful memories of Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes, and warm hospitality.
