Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Travel Distance/Time: 120 km / 3 hours drive from Arusha
Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge / Marera Valley Lodge / Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Meals: Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, you’ll leave Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park is also home to giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and over 400 species of birds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your selected lodge surrounded by peaceful gardens and lovely views.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha

Travel Distance/Time: 90 km / 2 hours to Lake Manyara + 130 km / 2.5 hours back to Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located along the Great Rift Valley. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and colorful flamingos that gather around the lake. You’ll enjoy a half-day game drive with great photo opportunities and a picnic lunch in the park. Later in the afternoon, start your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport.

End of Tour

Your 2-day safari to Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park ends back in Arusha, filled with wonderful wildlife encounters and beautiful memories. Though short, this trip offers a perfect glimpse of Tanzania’s diverse landscapes and animals, ideal for a quick but unforgettable safari experience.
