This 2-day safari is a wonderful way to experience Tanzania’s wildlife and nature in a short time. Starting from Arusha, you’ll visit Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. When you arrive, one of our friendly representatives from Exceptional Travel Expert will meet you and give you a short safari briefing before the trip begins. You’ll travel in a private 4×4 safari vehicle and stay in comfortable lodges such as Farm of Dreams Lodge, Marera Valley Lodge, or Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. Day by Day Itinerary

After breakfast, you’ll depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park is also home to lions, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species. You’ll spend the day on game drives through the park’s varied landscapes, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the park. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your selected lodge, surrounded by peaceful gardens and beautiful views of the highlands.

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best wildlife viewing areas, often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” Here you can spot the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site near the hippo pool before starting your drive back to Arusha in the afternoon, arriving in the early evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
Your 2-day safari to Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater ends back in Arusha, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wildlife and natural beauty. Though short, this safari offers a perfect view of the country’s incredible landscapes, friendly people, and wildlife, an ideal safari for those with limited time.
