Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Arusha National Park

Travel Distance/Time: 40 km / 1 hour drive from Arusha
Accommodation: Farm of Dreams Lodge / Marera Valley Lodge / Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Meals: Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and driven to Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful park lies at the foot of Mount Meru and is home to zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, and many bird species. Enjoy a game drive through the park’s forests and grasslands, with an optional guided walking safari or canoe trip on Momella Lakes for a closer look at the wildlife. After lunch, continue your drive towards Karatu, where you’ll check in at your selected lodge for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by nature.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This natural wonder is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a half-day game drive and picnic lunch near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening for drop-off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
