How often do your Tanzania group safaris depart?

We run scheduled group safari departures throughout the year, with dates timed to coincide with the best wildlife moments — the Great Migration, dry season big game concentrations, and the Ngorongoro Crater at its finest. If none of the listed dates work, contact us and we will find a solution.

What if none of the scheduled dates work for me?

No problem at all. Simply reach out with your preferred travel dates and we will do our best to accommodate you — either by adjusting an existing group departure or arranging a fully private safari tailored to your schedule.

What is the group size for each safari?

Our group safaris have a maximum of 6–8 guests per 4×4 Land Cruiser. This ensures every seat is a window seat and the game viewing experience never feels crowded. We guarantee departures even with smaller groups — your trip will never be cancelled due to low numbers.

How much deposit is required to secure my spot?

A deposit of just 20% of the total package price is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is payable upon your arrival in Tanzania — no large upfront payments needed.

What is the difference between a group safari and a private safari?

Group safaris are shared with other travelers and are significantly more cost-effective, with fixed departure dates and set itineraries. Private safaris offer complete flexibility — you choose the date, pace, parks, and accommodation level. We offer both and are happy to advise which suits you best.

Is a group safari good for solo travelers?

Absolutely. Many of our guests join as solo travelers and leave with new friends from around the world. The small group atmosphere is naturally sociable — shared game drives, meals together at camp, and the thrill of wildlife sightings make for an incredibly bonding experience.

Which national parks does the safari visit?

What type of accommodation is provided?

All safari nights are in comfortable tented lodges or camps inside or near the national parks. You will not be camping in the traditional sense — all accommodation includes beds, en-suite or shared bathrooms, and meals. The experience is genuinely comfortable and immersive.

What is the best time of year to join a group safari?

Tanzania offers excellent wildlife year-round, but the dry season (June to October) and the short dry season (January to February) are widely considered the best months. The Great Migration river crossings peak between July and September in the northern Serengeti.

What is included in the group safari package?

The package includes 1 night pre-safari hotel in Arusha (on 5-day and 6-day packages), all lodge accommodation on the safari, all meals, a professional English-speaking guide, a 4×4 Land Cruiser with pop-up roof, all park fees, and airport transfers. See the full inclusions list above.

Do I need travel insurance for the safari?

Yes — travel insurance is mandatory for all our safaris and must include emergency medical evacuation cover. This is a condition of booking and is for your own protection. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is also required for entry into Tanzania.

Can I add a Zanzibar beach extension or Kilimanjaro climb?

Yes — many guests combine their group safari with a few days on Zanzibar's beaches or a Kilimanjaro group climb. Just let us know your dates and we will put together a free combined proposal for you.
